H ow to Get Started Planning Your Custom Shelves or Bookshelves:

• Call us at 212-988-9800. We’ll discuss your needs and shelving goals. In most cases, we’ll urge you to come into the store to discuss your options. By far, the most effective way to plan your shelving is to come into our store so we can work together and show you options and shelves.
  
• Measure everything: your ceiling height and the width of the space that you want to fill in. Also measure “special things", such as television or stereo, furniture. If there's a custom bookshelf component then do you have oversized books? We can make shelves in almost any size, so the shelves will be custom fitted to your space, and to your things. You can make a rough sketch with the measurements.
  
• When you come in, we’ll review your needs and show you the possible solutions. Step-by-step, we’ll custom design your wall with you. There are lots of different options and different arrangements possible -- you may want a custom "bookcase" or a bar or a computer area for example. We will go over all of these options, consider your furniture and shelving needs, and give you an estimate
  
• You can take home the plan for further considerations. There is no charge or obligation.

  Note: When your shelves are installed -- either by yourself or our installers – you may return any stock shelf or hardware that you decide is excessive or unnecessary.
  
  Note: Most shelving arrangement are adjustable. You can even change or expand your layout substantially after installation!
